Ray Goodwin – MBE acts as our ‘technical expert’ under the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations 1996 and advises Mountain Water Expeditions on safety and good practice in the outdoors. Ray is at the top of his game here in the UK holding The Mountaineering Instructors Certificate and British Canoe Union Coach 5 in Inland Kayak, Sea Kayak and Canoe (He was the first to be assessed in all three) and is also a BCU Coach Educator able to deliver Coach 1 to 3. Ray’s practice is based on experience.  He has climbed and paddled on four continents, and completed the first complete circumnavigation of Wales and the first unsupported crossing of the Irish Sea in canoe.
